ROCHESTER — Marilyn R. Kurpiewski (nee Anderson), 73, passed away peacefully Feb. 14, 2011, at Nazarethville Home in Des Plaines, Ill.
Marilyn was born on Dec. 10, 1937, to Charles and Ruth Anderson in Rochester. She is the sister of David (Marsha) Anderson of Rochester. Marilyn grew up in Rochester, graduated from Rochester High School in 1955, and then attended William Woods College in Missouri.
Marilyn worked as a laboratory medical technologist at St. Anne’s Hospital (Chicago) and then at Lutheran General Hospital (Park Ridge) until her retirement in 1995.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Walter; son, Peter (Kristine) of Glenview, Ill.; grandson, Bryan; brother, David (Marsha) Anderson of Rochester; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, Feb. 18, at 10 a.m. at Nazarethville Home, 300 N. River Rd., Des Plaines, IL. Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at Nazarethville Chapel. Interment at All Saints Cemetery (Des Plaines).
