Marjorie Bell Wubbels, 87, formerly of Greenleafton, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, died Friday morning, Aug. 12, 2011, at the Stewartville Care Center.
Marjorie was born Dec. 8, 1923, in the Etna area of Bloomfield Township, Fillmore County, the daughter of Robert and Sadie (Jacobson) Hall. On Jan. 29, 1947, she married Gerald Wubbels in Greenleafton. The couple lived in Preston until they moved to Greenleafton in 1952. She was a homemaker. Gerald died April 28, 1991. She moved back to Preston in 1991 and then to the Stewartville Care Center in 2009.
Marjorie was a longtime member of the Greenleafton Reformed Church. She enjoyed visiting with friends and family, was an avid fisher and adored her grandchildren and grandnieces and nephews.
She is survived by two sons, Lance (Karen) Wubbels of Bloomington and Morris (Ellen) Wubbels of New Sharon, Iowa; and four grandchildren, Ingerlisa Matthews, Nils Wubbels, Landon Wubbels and Caleb Wubbels. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Gail Wubbels; and three brothers, Lawrence, Winnifred and Emery Hall.
Committal services will be held at 9:30 a.m., Monday, Aug. 15, 2011, at the Greenleafton Cemetery to be followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m., at the Greenleafton Reformed Church, with Rev. Roger Lokker officiating.

There will be a reviewal from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 14, 2011, at the Thauwald Funeral Home in Preston.
