The vice president of Indonesia stopped in Rochester Monday on his way to meet with President Obama in Washington, D.C.
Mayo Clinic confirmed that Vice President Jusuf Kalla was undergoing "routine outpatient appointments."
Kalla is scheduled to attend the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, D.C., Thursday and meet Obama, according to the Jakarta Post.

About 4,000 guests have been invited to breakfast, including Philippines President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo and Bulgarian Defense Minister Nikolay Tsonev. Indonesia media is reporting that Kalla will deliver a speech on Thursday called "Drafting Peace in Asia: The Indonesia Experience."
The encounter with Obama will make Kalla the first Indonesian official to meet Obama, who spent four years of his childhood in Jakarta.
