Austin Area Farmers Market
to host Kids’ Day on April 18

The Austin Area Farmer’s Market will host the third annual Kids’ Day Event from 10 a.m. to noon on April 18 in the Oak Park Mall.
The event will feature demonstrations by Farmer’s Market vendors, including: "How the Bee Makes its Honey," by Rose Creek Honey Co. of Rose Creek; "How to Plant Pumpkin Seeds," by Farmer John’s Pumpkin Patch and Farm of Austin; "How Plants Grow," by Hilltop Greenhouse and Farm of Ellendale and "Gladiolus — a Seed or a Bulb? Let’s Make a Gift for Mom," by Bush Gladiolus of Blooming Prairie.

There will be free snacks and seeds, as well as an appearance by the 2009 Mower County Dairy Princess and her court. There is no charge for admission.
