Career day/college fair, Riverland Community College East Building, 1900 Eighth Ave. N.W., Austin. 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. More than 700 regional high school students will be on campus to take advantage of this dual event. Business professionals from the region will present informational seminars regarding career options. At the College Fair, representatives from more than 100 private and public colleges from Minnesota, Iowa and other U.S. locations will provide recruiting information to potential students.

Don Tolner Spaghetti Dinner and Auction Benefit, Windmill Hotel Banquet Room, Dexter. 4 p.m.-midnight The event will feature a spaghetti dinner, silent and live auctions and musical entertainment and will benefit local campground owner Don Tolner, who is recovering from an RV accident. Opening reception for the art of John Muellerleile, Austin Area Art Center , 1301 18th Ave. N.W., Austin. 1 p.m.-4 p.m. A photography exhibit, up through April 27. Subjects of his photography include plants, flowers, wildlife, architecture and landscapes. The opening reception event is free and open to the public.
