The Volunteer Center at United Way of Olmsted County promotes community engagement by connecting individuals and groups in Southeastern Minnesota communities with volunteer opportunities that address urgent and ongoing community needs.  Red Kettle Bell Ringers: Individuals, families, and groups are needed to assist the Salvation Army in ringing bells for our Christmas Campaign. Every two hours of bell ringing raises an average of more than $100, which provides help to a family in our community. Bellringers are needed at a variety of locations Monday through Saturday from Nov. 14 to Dec. 24. Call 424-4191 for more information or to volunteer with The Salvation Army.

Coffee Cart Volunteer: Fun for early risers. Sell coffee and rolls to hospital staff and visitors in a pleasant environment. Call 255-5653 for more information or to volunteer with Saint Marys Hospital.

Daytime Child Care Needed: We are looking for individuals interested in providing basic child care within our facility during regular business hours for children 5 and under. The child care is provided so that mothers can attend meetings and appointments. Call 285-1938 for more information or to volunteer with Women's Shelter, Inc.

Camp Kitchen Help: Kitchen helpers are needed throughout the year to help prepare meals, clean up after meals, wash dishes, bake, cook etc. Camp Victory is always looking for volunteers to fill the need in the kitchen. Library Book Sorter: We are looking for enthusiastic, hardworking and unflappable volunteers who can help us sort through donations. Donations of books have greatly increased during the last two years and we now need to add to our number of sorters. Our volunteer sorters contribute significantly to the enhancement of our library collection. Call 287-2627 for more information or to volunteer with Rochester Public Library.
