KASSON: Mayor appointed to local government organization
Mayor Tim Tjosaas has been appointed to the Board of Trustees for the Southeastern Minnesota League of Municipalities.
He joined representatives from eight southeast Minnesota counties that discuss and determine local legislative policy issues improtant to the region. All members of the organization meet quarterly to discuss topics such as local government aid, transportation funding, tourism and public safety.
The goal of the group is to increase local government officials’ understanding of their roles and the issues facing local government.
