Felony charge
• Brad Alan James, 49, of St. Paul, is charged with third-degree domestic assault, domestic assault by strangulation and domestic assault for allegedly kicking a woman in the ribs and jumping on her head June 9. Bail was set at $5,000. His next court appearance is set for Oct. 19.
