CHASKA, Minn. — A Stewartville construction worker was killed this morning after being struck by a car while he was holding a stop sign.
The accident happened shortly before 7 a.m. near Chaska, Minn., at the intersection of U.S. 212 and Mount Hope Road. According to the State Patrol, a a 73-year-old Chaska, Minn., man was driving westbound on U.S. 212 when he struck the construction flagger. The 47-year-old man died at the scene. The elderly driver did not suffer any injuries.
The State Patrol is not releasing the name of the victim nor the driver at this time.
