17-year-old Minnesota youth dies in early-morning rollover crash

The Remer, Minn., teen was not seatbelted and was ejected from the car.

REMER, Minn. - A 17-year-old male from Remer died of injuries he suffered after the car he was driving rolled early Sunday morning, Sept. 18, the Minnesota State Patrol reported.

According to the Patrol report:

The teen was driving a 2003 Buick Century westbound on Highway 200 in Lima Township about 1 a.m., when the car straightened out in a slight curve and left the roadway.

The Buick went airborne after it hit a road approach, landing sideways and rolling.

The driver, who was not seatbelted, was ejected from the vehicle.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash, according to the Patrol report.

Remer is about 145 miles east of Fargo, and about 71 miles southeast of Bemidji.
