Park program will offer basics of camping

ELBA — A free program to teach the basics of camping will be from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. April 26 at Whitewater State Park south of Elba.
There will be information on camping gear, fire starting, campfire cooking, birdwatching, hiking trails, nature crafts and using maps and a compass.
The program is free, but vehicles entering the park need a $5 daily or $25 annual sticker.
