Nose: A big hit of dark fruits (dates and raisins), orange spice, cocoa and alcohol.
Taste: Staying consistent with the nose, raisins and dates are the prominent fruit flavors with subtle hints of green apple and green grapes. As the beer warms, dark rum and orange spice start to develop.
The alcohol is more showy in the nose than in the taste, but does leave a slight warming sensation as it goes down. It’s quite enjoyable. It is like chewing on a marshmallow. Cabornation is quick and crisp allowing all flavors of this beer to linger. The finish is long and flavorful. This beer would be an excellent after-dinner drink or night-cap.
