Murder suspect Monica Jones made a brief appearance in Olmsted District Court on Monday morning.
The 21-year-old Owatonna woman is accused of stabbing Ayeisha Bennett, 28, of Rochester, outside the Windy City Bar and Grill early the morning of Nov. 1. Bennett, a mother of three, died of a stab wound to the neck.
Jones is charged with two counts of second-degree murder. Her attorney, Rick Smith, asked for an evidentiary hearing during Jones’ hearing Monday morning. That now is set for Jan. 20.
