Cindy "Cy" Yess, a long-time softball player, coach and the Rochester Softball Association organizer, and Les Ernster, a former Rochester recreation star player, were inducted into the Minnesota Softball Hall of Fame.

The Salvation Army in Rochester hopes to raise $45,000 for its programs as bell ringers occupy familiar locations at city shopping centers during the holiday season.

1956 — 50 years ago


The Civil Air Patrol is celebrating its 15th anniversary. The Rochester Squadron will have an open house for member’s wives and will have films available for showing to community groups, and speakers will describe the Civil Air Patrol program.
