Three teenagers were injured Saturday in an accident along West Silver Lake Drive in Rochester.
According to Rochester Police Lt. John Edwards, Edward Victor Ables, 17, of Zumbrota was allegedly driving recklessly on Broadway when he saw a police car and sped away. Ables turned off Broadway to go south on West Silver Lake Drive. Edwards said the vehicle crossed the center line and collided head-on with a vehicle driven by Menyiel Manyiel Ayuel, 26. The accident was reported at 10:25 p.m.
Ables and two passengers in his vehicle, Brady Joel Stejskal, 17, and Kyle Matthew Frey, 17, were taken to Saint Marys Hospital, Edwards said. Ayuel and a passenger in his vehicle were not taken to the hospital.
The accident remains under investigation, Edwards said.
