Five people were injured in two accidents on U.S. 14, including one-head-on collision on a four-lane stretch of highway.
On Friday night, a car driven by Carlos Villa, 54, of Chicago, made a U-turn in the westbound lanes of U.S. 14 about one mile west of Olmsted County 104 near Byron and headed eastbound, the State Patrol reports.
The car collided head-on with a pickup driven by Kristine Andrist, 28, of Kasson. A passenger, Dominic Andrist, 28, of Kasson also was in the car. All three people were injured and taken to Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester for treatment, the patrol said.
Then, about 12:30 a.m., a car driven by Timeka Kuhnley, 23, of St. Charles, left U.S. 14 just east of the Dakota Minnesota &; Eastern underpass near Chester, according to the report. The eastbound auto crashed into some rocks on the north side of the road.

Kuhnley and a passenger, Hervey Ladimor, 25, of Minneapolis, also were injured and taken to Saint Marys, the patrol said.
