NASHUA — The Nashua Plainfield FFA held its organizational meeting March 15.
Twenty-nine former members and community residents met to establish the local affiliate. The organization adopted a constitution and established the following as their mission for the organization: "The Nashua-Plainfield FFA Alumni Affiliate connects the Nashua-Plainfield FFA Chapter with a supportive web of resources throughout the community. The alumni chapter is here to sustain and improve the premier leadership, personal growth, and career success of FFA members and agriculture education through the labor, knowledge, financial funding, and physical resources of its members."
The affiliate's officers are Andy Edson, president; Charlie Dietz, vice president; Megan Rausch, secretary; and Dustin Feldman, treasurer.
The affiliate set dues and started a membership drive. Feldman reported that 17 members had signed up at the meeting. To join contact Edson or Feldman or the Nashua Plainfield FFA Alumni through the affiliate website at http://nashuaplainfieldffaalumni.com/.
The alumni will host its first function in conjunction with the Nashua Plainfield FFA Chapter's 75th Anniversary Banquet and Celebration March 31. The alumni will conduct a silent auction to raise funds for meeting its goals to support the local chapter.
