Videotape shows rescue of woman from Texas lake

LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) — Police video shows officers in Texas swimming to a sinking SUV and saving a woman after her vehicle plunged into a small lake.
The rescue, videotaped by a patrol car dashboard camera, shows emergency personnel reaching the vehicle and helping 46-year-old Melinda Pickering of Lubbock.
KCBD-TV reports police say Pickering suffered an undisclosed medical problem Wednesday, then her SUV struck a curb, went across a park and ended up in the lake.

Police had to break a window to remove the driver, who was treated and released from University Medical Center in Lubbock.
