A 37-year-old Winona man was taken to Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin with life-threatening injuries following a Friday afternoon collision in Mower County's Udolpjo Township.

According to Minnesota State Patrol reports, Dustin Daniel Holicky of Winona was driving a 2002 Chevy Impala south on southbound on U.S. Highway 218, near Mower County Road 1, shortly before 4 p.m.. when his vehicle collided with a 2005 Ford Freestar driven by 28-year-old Thomas Anthony Decker of Blooming Prairie.

Decker, who was not injured, was also southbound on Highway 218, and there is no indication regarding what caused the vehicles to collide.

The collision report states Holicky had not been wearing a seat belt.

The state patrol was assisted by the Steele County Sheriff’s Office and Blooming Prairie police, fire, and ambulance services.
