RED WING — A two-vehicle crash near Red Wing sent two people to the hospital Thursday afternoon.
Mary Elizabeth Pieper, 72, of Ellsworth, Wis., was driving a 2003 Buick LeSabre southbound on Highway 61 near Red Wing at 3:01 p.m. when her vehicle collided in the left lane with a 2004 Buick LeSabre, driven by Gary Allen Ostrander, 60, of Red Wing, according to a Minnesota State Patrol report.
Pieper was transported to Mayo Clinic Health System in Red Wing for non-life-threatening injuries. Ostrander was not injured in the crash, while his passenger, Sherida Lynn Ostrander, 72, of Red Wing, was transported to Mayo Clinic Health System for non-life-threatening injures.
The Red Wing Police Department and Red Wing Ambulance responded to the scene.
