AUSTIN -- A 30-year-old Iowa man was injured Saturday after losing control of his motorcycle while rounding a corner and going into a ditch.

Mower County Sheriff's deputies found Alexander Taylor, of Charles City, Iowa, and his motorcycle in the west ditch along Minnesota Highway 105 and 160th Street, according to a news release from the Mower County Sheriff's Office.

Taylor told the deputies he was having right arm pain and had a large cut to his chin. The deputy also noticed a "deep scratch" in Taylor's helmet and his right wrist was obviously dislocated or broken.

Taylor was taken by ambulance to the Mayo Clinic Health System-Austin for his injuries.
