RED WING — Three people were taken to the hospital on Saturday, July 24, after a van and two motorcycles collided in Red Wing.
Morris Lee Jones, 79, of Welch, was driving a 2002 Dodge Caravan westbound on Aspen Avenue. Dillon Harley Vonrump, 30, of Waseca, was driving a 2020 Harley-Davidson, and Michael John Wallace, 66, of Mendota Heights, was driving a 2017 Can Am Spyder Roadster motorcycle southbound on U.S. Highway 61. The three vehicles collided at the intersection at 12:33 p.m., according to a Minnesota State Patrol report.
Wallace was taken to Mayo Clinic Hospital-Saint Marys Campus with life-threatening injuries. Vonrump and his passenger, Alyson Vergil Vonrump, 28, of Waseca, were taken to Mayo Clinic Health System-Red Wing. Jones was not injured.
The Goodhue County Sheriff's Office and the Red Wing police and fire departments responded to the scene.
