STEWARTVILLE — The funeral for Adelaide M. Grams, 89, of Stewartville, will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Pleasant Valley, Mower County; the Rev. Ronald Prigge will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Grams died Friday (April 25, 2008) of natural causes, at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester, where she had been hospitalized since Wednesday.
Adelaide M. Priebe was born Feb. 1, 1919, in Stewartville. She grew up in Stewartville and graduated from Stewartville High School in 1937. She married Erwin Grams on Sept. 29, 1938, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Stewartville. The couple farmed and lived on the Grams family farm all of their married lives. Mr. Grams died Oct. 26, 1992.
Mrs. Grams moved to Stewartville in 1993 and was a resident at the Stewartville Care Center since January 2005. She was a longtime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and was active in its Ladies Aid. She was also a past member of District 94 Mothers Club and enjoyed cooking and gardening.
She is survived by a daughter, Jeanette (Ed) Wendt of rural Stewartville; a son, Don (Judy) of Stewartville; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Other survivors include a brother-in-law, Robert Kuhle of Mayville, N.D. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents, Otto and Elizabeth Priebe; an infant brother; and two sisters, Rachel Simus and Helen Kuhle.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at Griffin-Gray Funeral Home in Stewartville, and an hour before the service Tuesday at the church.
