Adele Planting -- Rochester

ROCHESTER -- A memorial service for Adele Planting will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Ranfranz &; Vine Funeral Homes in Rochester, with the Rev. Fred Rengstorf officiating.

Mrs. Planting, 52, of Rochester, died Tuesday (April 26, 2005) at her home.

Adele Alysa Henderson was born May 26, 1952, in Fargo, N.D. She moved with her family to Rochester as a young girl; graduated from Mayo High School; attended Inver Grove Heights College, where she became accredited as a registered dental assistant; and worked as office manager in the dental practice of Dr. Leon Ernster for 22 years. On Feb. 15, 1975, she married Paul Planting in Rochester. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Rochester and several dental assisting associations, and enjoyed crafts, knitting and ceramics.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Elliott of Rochester; her father, George Henderson of Red Wing; a sister, Judy (Bob) Peters of Glenwood, Minn.; and a brother, Mark Henderson of Bellefonte, Pa. Her mother preceded her in death.

Friends may call an hour before the service Friday at the funeral home.
