Adeline M. Radtke -- Pine Island

PINE ISLAND -- The funeral for Adeline M. Radtke will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Pine Island, with the Revs. John Torris Lohre and Kip Groettum officiating. Burial will be in Pine Island Cemetery.

Mrs. Radtke, 81, of Pine Island, a former farm homemaker, died Wednesday (Sept. 17, 2003) at her home.

Adeline May Stiller was born Dec. 26, 1921, in Douglas and attended Pine Island schools. On Sept. 7, 1941, she married Christian "Christy" Radtke in Pine Island. They farmed in the Pine Island area until retiring in 1985, and continued to live on the farm until moving to Pine Island in September 2001. During retirement, they traveled in their recreational vehicle to Arizona and Texas during the winter and enjoyed fishing in the South. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and enjoyed crafts.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Roger (Lucy) of Pine Island and Larry (Bev) of Rochester; two daughters, Judy (Bryan) Dugstad of Webb Lake, Wis., and Diane (Carle) Romo of Pine Island; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Eleanor (Raymond) Brown of Rochester; and two brothers, Wes (Arlene) Stiller of Longmont, Colo., and Gail (Martha) Stiller of Spooner, Wis. Two brothers preceded her in death.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at Mahn Family Funeral Home-Mahler Chapel in Pine Island and an hour before the service Saturday at the church.
