ROCHESTER -- The funeral for Alfred "Al" Beckman was Wednesday at the United Methodist Church in Wessington Springs, S.D., with the Rev. Bill Hoffman officiating. Burial was in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Wessington Springs.
Mr. Beckman, 88, of Wessington Springs, father of Marilyn (Dennis) Etbauer of Rochester, died Aug. 23, 2003, at Avera Weskota Memorial Medical Center in Wessington Springs.
He also is survived by his wife, two other daughters, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a brother. A brother and a sister preceded him in death.
Basham Funeral Home in Wessington Springs was in charge of arrangements.
