2007 All-Star Series

  • When: Saturday, 6 & 8 p.m., at Mayo Civic Center; Sunday, 12:30 & 2 p.m., University of St. Thomas Schoenecker Arena.
  • What: This All-Star Series is a four-team tournament comprised of 40 of the top senior high school girls players in four classes. The players were nominated by their own coaches and selected by the Minnesota Girls Basketball Coaches Association.
  •  Match-ups: The semifinal round in Rochester will match the Class A All-Stars against the Class AAA All-Stars, followed by Class AA vs. Class AAAA. The finals and third place game are Sunday.
  • College bound: Nearly all of the 40 players in the tournament have committed to play college basketball. The marquee names are three Division I recruits, St. Paul Central guard Angel Robinson (Marquette), Benilde-St. Margaret’s guard Kachine Alexander (Iowa), and Park Rapids Area center Janessa Wolff (Penn State).
