With their third Super Bowl victory in four years, the New England Patriots have officially established themselves as a dynasty. A team for the ages.
Coach Bill Belichick is the mastermind behind the Patriots and Tom Brady is the quarterback. Both Belichick and Brady now have to be considered among the very elite ever in the NFL at what they do.
Belichick, who was once fired by the Cleveland Browns, now owns a 10-1 postseason record, the best ever. He has won three Super Bowls in four years, which no coach has ever done. You tick off the top coaches in NFL history and Belichick better be on the short list.
Brady also now ranks among the elite quarterbacks ever. The one-time sixth-round draft choice might not be flashy, or put up huge numbers, but he's the complete package when it comes to winning. Brady is a perfect 9-0 in the playoffs. With three Super Bowl wins, only Terry Bradshaw and Joe Montana (four each) have won more.
The legend keeps on growing for the Patriots, Belichick and Brady. And when it comes to winning, they might not yet be done.
