The Rochester Eagles dropped their American Legion opening game on Wednesday, falling to Kasson 4-2 at Hudson Field.
Kasson rode the starting pitching of Ben Oertli to the win. He and Trevor Larsen combined to allow just six hits, and their team played error-free behind them. Oertli and Zach Lentz each had two hits for Kasson.
The Eagles got a strong pitching performance from Eric Bieniek.
Lourdes plays Friday at 6:30 p.m. at Zumbrota.
