ST. CHARLES -- The funeral for Amos J. Yoder will be at 9 a.m. Monday at his home in Bloomfield, Iowa. Burial will be in Bloomfield Amish Cemetery.
Mr. Yoder, 69, of Bloomfield, formerly of St. Charles, died Thursday (July 10, 2003) in Bloomfield.
He was born Sept. 18, 1933, in Haven, Kan. On Jan. 25, 1958, he married Lydia Schmucker in Hazelton, Iowa. They farmed in Iowa until 1975 and then in the St. Charles area until 1999, when they retired and moved to Bloomfield.
Survivors include his wife; eight sons, David (Alma) and Dan (Annie), both of St. Charles, William (Ida) of Utica, Jake (Fannie), Joe (Esther), Enos (Norma), Amos Jr. (Rachel) and Freeman (Rose), all of Bloomfield; five daughters, Betty (Edwin) Stuctman and Esther (Fred) Stuctman, both of Granton, Wis., Sara (David) Kauffman and Irene (Mark) Yoder, both of Bloomfield, and Mary Yoder at home; 53 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; three brothers; and two sisters.
