Anderson's gem gives Redhawks win

WASECA -- Give the nod to Vince Anderson in this game. The Rochester Redhawks pitcher threw a complete game as his team beat Waseca 7-1 Thursday.

Anderson threw a three-hitter, striking out 10 and walking just one.

"I'd say this was one of the best outings all year," said coach Jim Sonju. "He pitched a gem."

The Redhawks scored twice in the second inning on a two-run single by Brandon O'Reilly. They got two more in the third when Ben Gerlesberger and Zach Nesler singled in runs.

The Redhawks are 18-7 with just four games remaining this season. They play the Patriots tonight at 7 p.m. at Hudson Field.
