Ann Brenna -- Kenyon

KENYON -- The funeral for Ann Brenna will be 11 a.m. Friday at Holden Lutheran Church in rural Kenyon, with the Revs. Michael Lockerby and Nancy Edwardson co-officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Brenna, 69, of Kenyon, a longtime farm homemaker, died Monday (Aug. 5, 2002) at Kenyon Sunset Home.

Ann Louise Margaret Amundson was born Oct. 16, 1932, in Holden Township, Goodhue County, attended District 58 country school and graduated from Kenyon High School. On April 24, 1950, she married Maurice Brenna at Holden Lutheran Church. They farmed on the family farm all their married lives and she also worked at Bergh Pharmacy and in the kitchen at Kenyon Sunset Home. Her husband died Feb. 2, 2002. She was a member of Holden Lutheran Church, was active in church circles and helped her husband in the Lions Club. She enjoyed cooking and going to auctions and garage sales.

Survivors include a son, Maury (Cindy) of Mankato; a daughter, Michelle Irvine of Baltimore, Md.; a granddaughter; a sister, Kay (Rob) Smith of Hastings, Minn.; and two brothers, Robert (Carol) Amundson of West Hills, Calif., and Gregory (Sandy) Amundson of Kenyon. A sister and a brother preceded her in death.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at Hanson Funeral Home in Kenyon and an hour before the service Friday at the church.
