Mrs. Baker, 79, of Rochester, longtime owner of Ann's Draperies, died Saturday (Aug. 10, 2002) at Bear Creek Care and Rehabilitation Center.
Ann M. Ruth was born Nov. 2, 1922, in Marion, Ohio. On Dec. 6, 1941, she married Fredrick Baker Sr. in Decorah, Iowa. She lived in Hammond before moving to Rochester in 1951. She was self-employed with Ann's Draperies for 45 years and also worked for Orlen Ross. Her husband was employed by the U.S. Postal Service and Podein Freight Way. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, Leon "Ray" Doole of Dudley, N.C., and Fredrick B. Jr. (Dorothy) of New Hampton, Iowa; four daughters, Joanne (Charlie) Rohr of River Falls, Wis., Carol Frascella of Browns Mills, N.J., A. Marie Smith of Rochester and Carrie Jo Bartel of Rockford, Ill.; 27 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Friends may call an hour before the service Tuesday at the funeral home.
