Anna Marie Lee -- Rochester

ROCHESTER -- A memorial Mass for Anna Marie Lee will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, with the Rev. Chris Manahan officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Lee, 77, of Rochester, a registered nurse and homemaker, died March 29, 2004, at Saint Marys Hospital following a lengthy illness.

Anna Marie Junkerman was born March 16, 1927, in Wausau, Wis. She spent her early years in Georgia and was a 1944 graduate of Mount de Sales Academy. She received her nurse's training from St. Anne's Hospital in Chicago. On June 16, 1951, she married Robert E. Lee in Chicago. They moved to Rochester in 1954. Her husband is an emeritus Mayo Clinic consultant. Mrs. Lee was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and Saint Marys Auxiliary gift shop for 25 years. She enjoyed hand crafts and bowling.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Dr. Robert Edward of Mill Valley, Calif., and Dr. Richard W. (Mary) of Berkeley, Calif.; two daughters, Cheryl Ann (John) Appleby of Ulverston, England, and Dr. Kathryn J. Lee (Dr. Patricia L. Speier) of Berkeley; and four grandsons. A half brother preceded her in death.

Friends may call an hour before the service Saturday at the church.


Macken Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
