RED WING -- The funeral for Ardelaine Louise Stumpf will be at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Goodhue, with the Rev. Michael Gustafson officiating. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Hay Creek.

Mrs. Stumpf, 73, of Red Wing, died Tuesday (Sept. 12, 2006) at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester.

Ardelaine Louise Forsell was born July 4, 1933, in Red Wing. She attended rural schools in Belle Creek Township, Goodhue County. She married Harlas Stumpf on June 9, 1956, in Cannon Falls. She worked at Riedell Shoes for many years and recently worked at Wal-Mart. She also helped on the family farm in all aspects of farming. Her husband died Aug. 23, 2001. She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Goodhue and enjoyed gardening, flowers and camping.

Survivors include two sons, Ed (Meg) of Vasa and Gary of Red Wing; a daughter, Jane (Scott) Rogers of Red Wing; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Alyce (Ed) Gruber of Welch. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers.


Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel in Red Wing, and an hour before the service Friday at the church.

Memorials are preferred to the church.
