For all those NCAA "bubble’’ teams which didn’t quite make it into the tournament field — teams like Arizona State and Viriginia Tech — I have one suggestion.
Be quiet, you’ve had your chance.
Unlike in Division I football, the NCAA tournament is open to all teams because of the conference tournaments.
The only way Georgia (with only four conference wins all year) could have made the field was by winning the Southeast Conference tournament and that’s exactly what the Bulldgs did, including an unprecedented doubleheader sweep on Saturday.
If Arizona State had won the Pac 10 tournament the Sun Devils would be dancing today, not complaining. Same as Virginia Tech in the ACC.

But let’s forget all the "bubble’’ talk because now the fun begins.
