Southland boys basketball

Year: Senior.

Position: Forward.

Post-Bulletin: Southland has played very well for the past month. What has been the key to your success?

Tim Felten: We've been working a lot harder in practice. We would like to have won more games, but the season's going good.

P-B: Do you play other sports?

TF: Football. Our season started good (with a win over defending state champion Goodhue). The confidence has carried over (to basketball).

P-B: What's it like playing for second-year head coach Jason McCloskey?

TF: He pushes us hard. He's a younger guy, and he can relate to us.

P-B: What is your favorite pro or college team?

TF: University of Texas Longhorns.

P-B: What are your team's goals for the season?

TF: To get over a .500 record and to win the section.

P-B: What is the strength of the Southland basketball team?

TF: Our guard play, perimeter shooting and teamwork.
