The woman told police she was getting ready to do dishes when her ex-boyfriend walked into her house in southeast Austin. She said they had broken up in March.
After a verbal exchange, the woman said, the 43-year-old man pushed her to the ground and stomped on her foot. He was wearing boots.
The incident allegedly occurred around 3 p.m. Friday, but police didn't speak to the woman until 8:50 p.m. at Austin Medical Center, where she was being treated.
The woman reported the man took several items from the home including $500 in cash, $100 stereo speakers and a cat.
The man could face third-degree assault and first-degree burglary charges.
