Austin police say they believe two recent assaults are tied to a white supremacist gang.
Austin Police Capt. Curt Rude said the department is still investigating Sunday night's stabbing as well as the attack on three teens Tuesday night. Both incidents occurred at a home in the 600 block of 11th Street Northwest.
Rude said authorities believe, however, the people involved in the attacks have ties to members of a white supremacist gang from Riverside, Calif.
Earlier this week, Austin Police Chief Paul Philipp said authorities suspect the attacks were made by people with ties to the group, but added he did not think the attacks were necessarily racially motivated because the alleged attackers and victims were all white.
