CHASKA, Minn. -- Claudia Pilot of Austin posted a 1-over-par 37-36--73 for a three-shot lead in Tuesday's first round of the Minnesota Golf Association's 7th Women's Mid-Amateur Championship at Dahlgreen Golf Club in Chaska.
Six players were within five strokes of Pilot, the tournament's defending champion.
Today will be the second and final rounds.
The 1999 champion, Brenda Williams of Island View Golf Club in Waconia, and Christine Geer of Interlachen Country Club in Edina, were tied for second at 4-over-par.
