Minnesota's 10 electoral votes are considered up for grabs in this presidential election. Both Bush, a Republican, and Democratic candidate John Kerry have visited the state several times, and have sent surrogates numerous times.
The last time a Republican presidential candidate carried Minnesota was in 1972.
