AUSTIN EDITION Capitol capital group heads to Austin

The state Senate Capital Investment Committee will come to Austin and Albert Lea Wednesday and Thursday to hold hearings on potential bonding projects and to talk about flood mitigation.

The committee will meet at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Riverland Community College. On Thursday, it will take a bus tour of Austin to see places where floods have damaged the town. The committee will meet at 9:30 a.m. at Albert Lea City Hall to talk about flood-mitigation measures.
