A four-hour defensive driving class will be conducted from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday. The cost for members is $16 and $19 for nonmembers. This class is put on by Driver Improvement Inc. and is an excellent class. If you need this refresher, please sign up today or come in at 8 a.m. Tuesday to register.
Tuesday is also the day for the entertaining and informative slide program on bird watching and wildlife in Kenya presented by the Smabys. The program starts at 12:30 p.m.
The Alzheimer's Support Group meets here at the center from 10:30 a.m. to noon on Thursday. Any questions can be answered by calling 433-3462.
Mike Cotter is planning on attending our 10 a.m. writing class on Sept. 23 and discussing ways in which to tell your story. We had the privilege of listening to Mike's stories last week and know he will be a great asset to the writing class.
Our all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast is Sept. 28. This is a fund-raiser. The menu consists of pancakes with homemade syrup, orange juice, sausages and coffee. The cost is $3.50 for adults, $2.50 for children 6 to 12 and free for children younger than 6.

Payment for the Oct. 1 trip for the La Crosse Queen Luncheon Cruise is due by Friday. As we have a waiting list, anyone on the original list that has not paid by then will forfeit their spot on the cruise.

The cost is a suggested donation of $2.75 for those 60 years of age and older and cost $4.50 for those younger than 60. Although menus are subject to change. Here's what's planned for the week ahead.
