Scott Back of Back Construction of Ostrander reported that a trailer he had at a construction site was broken into and cleaned out, said Mower County Sheriff Terese Amazi.
Back told deputies he was building a home east of the Windmill in Dexter. Sometime Tuesday evening, a lock was cut off the trailer and construction tools worth about $12,000, including compressors, screw guns and nailers, were taken from the trailer.
"About everything he needs to do construction was gone," said Amazi.
Many of the tools were new and Back will try to provide the sheriff's department with serial numbers from them, Amazi said.

There are no suspects yet in the case, she said.
