AUSTIN EDITION -- Dead crow had West Nile virus

Mower County Chief Deputy Sheriff Terese Amazi said the Minnesota Department of Health confirmed that a dead crow found in Dexter tested positive for the West Nile virus. Once a case has been confirmed in a county, the department stops further tests because the outbreak has caused a backlog, Amazi said.
