OWATONNA -- Will hog prices be fat or thin this fall?
Livestock producers and others interested in swine markets can hear the views of University of Missouri ag economist Glenn Grimes on Wednesday in Owatonna.
The session, free and open to the public, is scheduled from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the AmericInn motel at Owatonna.
Grimes will discuss this fall's outlook for hogs and the results of a study about the swine industry. John Deen, director of the University of Minnesota's Swine Center, also will discuss how changing hog prices affect the best weights for selling the animals.
