As classes kicked off this week at Riverland Community College, so did athletic activities.
Students could be seen on the campus playing pick-up games of football, rollerblading and doing other activities.
Those games may become a little more formal in September as intramural leagues take off.
Riverland Community College 6-on-6 flag football begins the second week of September, but students can sign up beginning Sept. 1.

Games are played 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. Wednesdays at the Austin campus' northwest field.
The second week of November is when 4-on-4 basketball begins.
