AUSTIN EDITION L/P drops conference doubleheader to FC/L

HARMONY -- Fillmore Central/Lanesboro swept a baseball doubleheader from Lyle/Austin Pacelli on Thursday in the Southeast Conference.

FC/L pitcher Jesse Larimer gave up three hits, struck out six and walked two to get the opening win. Jeff Johnson got two hits, Ryan Scheevel had two doubles and two RBIs, and Lucas Feine got two hits.

T.J. Parlin got two hits in the opener for Lyle/Pacelli. Parlin was the starting pitcher and took the loss, Nick Ehret finished the five-inning game in relief.

In the second game, FC/L pitcher Lucas Feine gave up six hits, struck out six and walked two. Johnson got two hits, David Broadwater had two hits, and Scheevel hit a solo home run.

For L/P, Jake Burzinski had two hits and Josh Baumann went 2-for-3. Parlin had a pair of doubles. Ehret gave up eight hits, struck out five, and walked three in the loss.


L/P (1-7 overall, 0-6 SEC) plays today at Glenville-Emmons.
