"I was happy with the way we played over the weekend," L/P co-coach Norm Blaser said. "Our goal was to make it into the championship. We didn't play very well in the first game against Cannon Falls, but it was still a good showing in the tournament."

The Bombers of Cannon Falls lived up to their nickname by blasting L/P in the first game of the title round. The Bombers scored the first 20 points of the game off powerful serving.

"We couldn't handle this one girl's serve in the first game of the championship round and it was ugly," L/P co-coach Carl Ellis said. "We came back and made a respectable showing in the second game. It was a good tournament for us and now we're ready to finish the regular season with a couple of wins."

L/P (16-11) plays a makeup match at Glenville-Emmons tonight in Southeast Conference action and then finishes the regular season on Tuesday at the Pacelli Gym in Austin against the Houston Hurricanes.
