Late turnovers sent the Lyle/Austin Pacelli boys basketball team to defeat Tuesday night in the Southeast Conference.
Glenville-Emmons remained unbeaten on the season and atop the SEC standings with a 65-55 win at Pacelli Gym in Austin. This game was close, until G-E, which held a slim 32-31 lead at halftime, closed out the game with an 8-0 run in the final minutes.
Jarrad Knutson led the Wolverines (8-0, 4-0 SEC) with a game-high 18 points. Michael Greibrok added 15 points.
"It was a close battle the whole way, but then our boys got a little riled at the end, and turnovers hurt us," L/P assistant coach Dan Blaser said of the home loss.
Kellen Blaser led the way in scoring for L/P with 13 points, including a pair of three-pointers. John Mudra added 12 points and seven rebounds. Mike Williamson chipped in eight points, and Josh Gunderson hit a trey.
